Opposite to the rational agent modeled as Homo Economicus, people do not make decisions by generating alternative options and  by comparing them on the same set of evaluation dimensions; neither do they generate probability and utility estimates for different courses of action and elaborate these into decision trees. They search for what Herbert Simon named “satisficing` decisions. We intend to develop a formal model by which a group of artificial agents can reach a satisficing decision. We use as motivation the work on naturalistic decision making of Gary Klein.
